Benidorm's Levante beach stretches over two kilometres and it boasts over five thousand 5,000 sun beds available to hire. Playa Levante "The Sunrise Beach", the Playa Levante, runs the full length of the town and is the busiest and most well-known beach in Benidorm. Tall tropical palm trees line the beach front. And there's no shortage of decent establishments to have a drink or a good meal as the promenade is full of bars, cafés, and international restaurants, all of which have amazing sea views.

During the Summer this part of the resort can get very crowded, but there are still several bays where it's still possible to find some peace and quiet. Despite the beach's popularity, you will find it kept in pristine condition throughout the year as a result of the impressive cleanliness measures ordered by the Benidorm townhall.

On the subject of water sports there is all sorts available on the Levante beach. Water-skiing, jet-skiing, windsurfing, paragliding and scuba diving are all possible. In addition there is plenty for the little ones to do with such children's facilities as diving boards, pedal boats and slides.

In actual fact children can enjoy a full day's entertainment on the Levante beach thanks to the number of play areas that have been built specifically on the sand. And should any child wander a little far without realising then the strategically placed huge, colourful picture boards that stand tall every couple of hundred yards make it easier for kids to find their way back quickly to mum & dad. The gentle slope of the sand also makes it relatively safe for young or less confident swimmers to get in and out of the water, although any beginner should always be supervised closely and be aware of the possibility of undercurrents.

Meanwhile teens and more energetic adults will love the social vibe that the Levante area offers. For sure this is a place where visitors are ensured a lively beach experience. The Levante Beach front, especially during the Summer months, is recognised as one of the major hot spots for Benidorm's famous nightlife.
