Just 10 minutes drive from Benidorm you'll discover the compact resort of Albir. Albir is great for those in search of an alternative to the hustle and bustle of the Benidorm beaches, but for those who still desire all the amenities of a good beach resort.

Albir's beach, Playa de Raco de l'Albir, has received the coveted European Union Blue Ribbon award every year since 2001. The beach is spacious and quiet, and during the swimming season it is monitored by three full-time lifeguards. In addition to this there are two very nice children's playgrounds, situated right on the beach.

In the more tranquil atmosphere of Albir you'll find an abundance of restaurants, bars and cafés, many with all important cool shady terraces for those long hot Summer months. A favourite with most, however, is to obtain a front row seat at one of the establishments on the Albir boulevard, all of which offer excellent food and drink at very fair prices.
