Altea's charming cobbled streets are filled with wrought iron balconies almost all overflowing with flowers. By day and by night in the Summer months you can discover small art galleries there, many offering free entrance, and stylish shops selling handmade pottery and jewellery. In actual fact Altea is a haven for artists of all types - painters, writers, musicians - all giving the town a bohemian feel.
